Secretary General's Address

Greetings Delegates,

The maxim “Fake is real and real is Fake” couldn’t have been more apt for a time in history than now. Greed and deception have established their hegemony over us through individuals. We do not realize that power lies in the hands of individuals more than the government, country, or the people. The common citizens, pawns in the hands of these individuals, are made to believe in lies by infinite repetition of the falsehood. Thus, this time at Bosco Model United Nations we aim at simulating the world we live in not the world we see!

Bosco Model United Nations has been associated to innovation since its inception and thus we have taken up the challenge of simulating 3 committees that have never been simulated in the Kolkata circuit. Model United Nations are meant to familiarize the young with the reality and existing state of affairs in the world. And thus we take the responsibility that every delegate, novice or veteran, who enters the conference will leave with a different perception about this world. We at Bosco Model United Nations are known for our hospitality, food and trophies. So is rest assured that while these shall surpass the standards of last year, the other facets of the conference too shall surpass all expectations!

Deputy Secretary General's Address

Greetings Delegates,

In every decade there comes a time when all seems lost; it is in this time of turmoil that world leaders and diplomats come to the fore and take this, not as a threat to their existence, but as an opportunity to leave their footsteps in the sands of time and be remembered forever as the people who believed. This August, we give you an opportunity to step into the shoes of these world leaders and believe – believe that a drop is enough to fill the ocean. We give you an opportunity to create and innovate and in the process, find your true potential, and leave the conference a changed man – a man who believes.

Society honours the living comfortists or the dead troublemakers. We hope you use this as a platform to leapfrog your existing knowledge about global politics, and question and reinvent your existing ideology, and become the hero in the strife.
